Celebrating Native American Voting Rights in Arizona
September 22 | 12:00-1:30 p.m.
Zoom Webinar hosted by ASU Law Indian Legal Clinic

On National Voter Registration Day, join us to discuss the Native Vote in Arizona. Despite the Indian Citizenship Act of 1924, Native Americans in Arizona were denied the right to vote until 1948, and state law continued to deny voting opportunities for Native Americans through laws, policies and practices until 1970.

This panel will discuss the history of the fight to win the right to vote in Arizona and why it is important to register and vote in the upcoming election.
