Inquest set for Native death

Law enforcement in Saskatchewan, Canada, have scheduled an inquest into the shooting death of an Aboriginal man by a police officer.

Melvin Wayne Bigsky was killed during a traffic-stop confrontation with an RCMP officer in late April. The officer said he acted in self-defense but Bigsky'e wife, who was in the vehicle along with her husband, disputes the claim.

The inquest begins September 30.
