Ill. dealer acquited on sale of skull

FRIDAY, JULY 19, 2002

A federal jury in Illinois acquitted an antiques dealer of breaking federal law by trying to sell a skull dating back a few hundred years.

The jury didn't believe the skull was of a Native American. Ugo G. DeLuca had tried to sell it for $265.
