Drama continues in accused killer's trial

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2003

A witness in the murder trial of a man accused of raping and murdering an Alaska Native woman tested the patience of the court and got into shouting matches with a defense attorney, The Anchorage Daily News reported.

Jesse Ackmann said his friend, Joshua Wade, admitted he raped and was trying to kill Della Brown. The defense accused Ackmann, 23, of being in an alcoholic stupor during the time period in question.

Ackmann is a witness for the state.
