Not all in Conn. support anti-casino movement
TUESDAY, JANUARY 21, 2003
Not all municipalities in Connecticut are backing an anti-casino effort, The Norwich Bulletin reports.
Cities and towns are being asked to sign a resolution to oppose expanded gaming. But some say they aren't impacted by casinos and question the anti-tribal effort.
Opponents of tribes are fighting the federal recognition of the Eastern Pequots and helped repeal a state law that paved the way for Indian gaming.
