Mescalero casino expansion set
FRIDAY, APRIL 5, 2002
A Mescalero Apache legend is dying. But it's being replaced by something bigger.
The New Mexico tribe is moving forward with plans to expand its casino resort. The 26-year-old Inn of the Mountain Gods will be torn down to make way for a new facility while Casino Apache will undergo an expansion.
The price tag is a reported $100 million and the target completion date is 2004 or 2005.
