The
College of the Desert
in Palm Desert, California, is creating a degree program in casino management.
If approved, the program would be the first in the state to concentrate on the management side of gaming, rather than the gaming itself.
Courses planned include casino management, hospitality, rules and regulations and player development.
Two other colleges in the state are offering gaming-related programs.
