The Santa Ysabel Indian Band of Mission Indians is moving forward with plans to open a casino in about a year.
The tribe has hired an Arizona management group called Majestic Gaming to run the casino. Majestic formerly managed a $65 million casino for the Pasqua Yaqui Tribe in Arizona. According to The San Diego Union Tribune, the tribe fired the team in January after a payment dispute came up.
Majestic plans to raise $15 million to $18 million in bank loans to build the Santa Ysabel casino.
