NIGC probing use of Standing Rock casino funds


The National Indian Gaming Commission is investigating use of gaming revenues by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, The Bismarck Tribune reports.

The tribal council recently passed a resolution barring tribal officials from distributing casino funds to tribal members. The tribe is considering submitting a per capita plan for federal approval.

The tribe has trust land in North Dakota and South Dakota. The casino is located in South Dakota.
