The Narragansett Tribe of Rhode Island says unions will be allowed at its proposed casino.
The tribe and its partner, Harrah's Entertainment, say they will not interfere with union efforts by employees. The facility, which would be located in West Warwick, is expected to create 3,100 jobs.
An organizer for the local Hotel Employees & Restaurant Employees International Union says a casino union would help employees. The local HERE union supports the casino bid.
