The Chickasaw Nation's expanding casino in Newcastle, Oklahoma, is so busy that some neighbors are complaining about the traffic and crowds.
The tribe bought eight acres in 1995 and opened a truck stop the next year. A casino soon followed.
From there, the tribe has bought 54 acres surrounding the facility, including 44.55 acres from Multimedia Games for $2.8 million. Neighbors speculate a hotel and a larger casino resort is on the way.
To address traffic issues, the tribe is contributing $700,000 on a $1.6 million road project.
