The Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe is joining an effort to establish an urban casino in Minnesota.
The tribe said it would work with the Red Lake and White Earth bands to lobby for a casino in the Twin Cities. The three tribes are the biggest in the state but have not benefited from gaming as much as the smaller tribes.
Most other tribes in the state and some in nearby states oppose the urban casino.
