Caesars Entertainment seeks to manage Calif. casino

Caesars Entertainment signed a preliminary agreement to manage a casino for the Big Sandy Band of Western Mono Indians in California.

According to news reports, the tribe will need to amend its gaming compact with the state to allow the $200 million facility. The National Indian Gaming Commission would have to approve the management contract.

The casino and 250 to 300-room hotel would be located on 215 acres. The gaming portion would be located on 10 acres of land that is apparently already held in trust.
