Huge crowd cheers opening of Seminole Tribe's casino

Thousands and thousands of people showed up to the Seminole Reservation in Hollywood, Florida, for the opening of the tribe's new $279 million casino on Tuesday.

"There was a time when people used to avoid the reservation," council member Max B. Osceola Jr., said at the opening ceremony, according to The Miami Herald. "Now we want them to make reservations at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.''

A crowd of at least 3,000 lined up to get through the doors first. About 3,000 people attended a concert inside the casino.
