Cherokee Nation continues work on casino resort

The Cherokee Nation continues work at its $80 million casino resort in northeastern Oklahoma.

The resort features a large casino, a golf course, a hotel, a conference center, three restaurants and other retail and entertainment amenities. The gaming space has been expanded from 40,000 square feet to 80,000 square feet to accommodate 839 electronic gaming machines.

Some parts of the facility, including the golf course, are already open. A grand opening is set later this year.
