Editorial: Tribe's gaming proposition a winner

"Among the 16 propositions on the November ballot, there is one -- Proposition 70 -- that will help feed this cash-starved state.

The measure, which will expand Indian gaming, will generate hundreds of millions of dollars in increased revenue for California and it will put tribal gaming on the same taxpaying basis as every other business in California.

It’s a way for the state to get the most money out of tribal casinos.

The average taxpayer stands to shoulder less of a financial burden if voters approve Proposition 70. It’s a good deal Californians can’t refuse to pass."
