"Gov. Tim Pawlenty and leaders of three Indian tribes announced plans for a metro-area casino Friday. The state and the tribes would profit about equally from the venture, the officials said.
And the timeline is very aggressive. "The casino would be up and running within about two years, but a temporary location would be opened within six months of legislative approval," The Associated Press reported.
All this, before a site has been selected or even proposed: Does it strike you that this thing is moving too fast?
A footnote to Pawlenty's plan suggests that's exactly what's happening."
