Tribes give nearly $500K for gambling programs

Washington tribes have contributed nearly $500,000 to the state's gambling treatment programs, and more money is on the way.

The Muckleshoot Tribe, the Tulalip Tribes and the Jamestown S'Klallam Tribes made donations on Monday totaling more than $400,000. Previously, the Squaxin Island Tribe, the Nisqually Tribe and the Swinomish Tribe gave money.

A $100,000 donation is coming from the Puyallup Nation, pushing the tribal contributions well above $500,000.
