Two Oklahoma tribes announce plans for casinos

Two new tribal casinos are on the way in Oklahoma thanks to the expansion of gaming in the state.

The Iowa Tribe has partnered with Lakes Entertainment to open a casino, hotel and golf course in the Oklahoma City area. The project is the fifth casino announced within 30 miles of the city.

Meanwhile, the Ponca Tribe is planning to get rid of its current casino and build a $10 million one in a better location. The tribe is applying for a Class III compact with the state.
