Grand Ronde Tribes close bingo hall for renovations

The bingo hall at the casino owned by the Grand Ronde Tribes of Oregon has been closed for renovations but an executive disputed a news report that said the hall will be turned into a non-smoking slot machine parlor.

Greg Fritz, the marketing manager for the Spirit Mountain Casino, said several options are being considered. He said the tribe could add more gaming tables and slot machines, expand the buffet or bring the bingo games back.

The renovation is the first work the casino has seen in 10 years, Fritz said.
