The casino owned by the Barona Band of Mission Indians is the first in California to test server-based gaming developed by International Game Technology.
The Barona Valley Ranch casino is running 20 server-based machines. The technology allows for quick changes to the look, feel, play and payout of the game.
The test could continue into 2007, an IGT executive said. The Treasure Island casino in Las Vegas is also testing the server technology.
