The Tohono O'odham Nation of Arizona broke ground on Monday on an $120 million casino resort.
The tribe is using 33 acres to build a 320,000-square-foot facility. The resort will feature a 170,000-square-feet of gaming space, a 151-room hotel and other amenities.
Expected to be completed by October 2007, the new Desert Diamond Casino will bring the total number of tribal gaming jobs to 1,350. The tribe, as a whole, employs more than 3,665.
The tribe operates two other casinos.
