The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut is forming a partnership with MGM Grand, one of the world's largest gaming companies, The New London Day reports.
The tribe will work with MGM on the $700 million expansion of the Foxwoods Resort Casino. The MGM name will appear on the new hotel and the tribe will gain a stake in future MGM projects elsewhere.
Tribal employees were briefed on the project last week. An official announcement is being made today.
