Navajo leaders in Manuelito, New Mexico, have ended their relationship with a gaming developer who was playing both sides of the fence.
The Manuelito Chapter created a corporation to engage in gaming talks. Oswaldo Galarza was hired as a consultant.
Manuelito leaders didn't like the way Galarza was running things. They soon found out that he cut a deal with Full House Resorts, a gaming company negotiating for a casino, in addition to working for the chapter's corporation.
Manuelito is located just outside of Gallup along Interstate 40, where the Navajo Nation might want to locate a casino.
