The Southern Ute Tribe of Colorado plans to open a new casino more than three times the size of its current facility.
The new 300,000-square-foot facility will include a 45,000-square-foot casino, a 150-room hotel, a fitness center, restaurants, bowling center and convention space. It will be located a mile north of the Sky Ute Casino.
Construction is slated to begin in the fall. The facility is expected to open in spring 2008.
