Shakopee Tribe to share costs of road expansion

The Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community will contribute $1.4 million and $600,000 worth of land to expand a county road leading to the tribe's casino.

County Road 82 is a popular route to the Mystic Lake Casino. The expansion of the road is expected to cost $17.4 million.

Scott County is contributing $12 million and the city of Prior Lake is contributing about $3.4 million for the project.
