Pascua Yaqui casino employee indicted for theft

A casino employee of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe of Arizona has been indicted on charges of theft.

The employee is accused of using fraudulent gaming tickets to steal money from the Casino del Sol and Casino of the Sun. The tribe informed its membership of the indictment, which is being announced by the U.S. Attorney's office today, in a letter.

Pascua Yaqui Chairwoman Herminia Frias said the tribe has taken steps to improve oversight and strengthen controls at its gaming facilities after an investigation revealed some problems.
