Businesses oppose off-reservation casino

A majority of businesses in the Grand Forks area oppose the off-reservation casino being proposed by the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians.

The Grand Forks Chamber of Commerce surveyed its members and found that two-thirds oppose the idea. But half of them said they voted no because they didn't have enough information.

The tribe operates a casino on its reservation about 187 miles from Grand Forks.
