Residents oppose liquor at Poarch Creek casino

The Poarch Band of Creek Indians held a public hearing on Wednesday to discuss the proposed sale of liquor at its gaming facility in Wetumpka, Alabama.

According to The Montgomery Advertiser, most people spoke against the tribe's proposal. They cited concerns about drunk driving and safety.

The tribe also held a hearing to discuss the sale of liquor at its facility in Montgomery. Few people showed up to that meeting, the paper said.
