Agua Caliente Band has no plans for third casino

The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians has no plans for a third casino, chairman Richard Milanovich said after announcing a new compact with the state of California.

The tribe operates two casinos and the compact authorizes a third facility. But Milanovich said there's nothing in the works for the Palm Springs area.

The deal allows the tribe to operate up to 5,000 slot machines. In exchange, the tribe is contributing an estimated $81.9 million a year to the state.
