Comment period to close on Cowlitz Tribe casino

The public has four more days to comment on the Cowlitz Tribe's proposed casino in Clark County, Washington.

The tribe wants to build a 135,000-square-foot complex on 151 acres. The land is being taken into trust as part of the tribe's initial reservation.

Once the comment period closes, the Bureau of Indian Affairs will issue a final environmental impact statement. A BIA employee said the report will take several months to complete.
