San Manuel Band deal could be worth $3.8B for state

The compact signed by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians could send up to $3.8 billion to the state by 2030, The San Bernardino County Sun reports.

The tribe can offer up to 7,500 slot machines under the deal. The tribe plans to take a "gradual approach" to adding the new machines, a spokesperson said.

Separately, the tribe is building a hotel and retail complex. Dubbed San Manuel Village, the 12-acre site features a Hampton Inn and Suites hotel and restaurant, office and retail space,
