Jamul Band casino meeting draws out opponents

Most of the people who attended a public meeting held by the Jamul Indian Village voiced opposition to the tribe's casino.

The tribe wants to build a six-story casino and 12-story hotel on its six-acre reservation. A ceremonial groundbreaking was held last December.

The actual groundbreaking is set to break ground in about two months. Residents voiced concerns about traffic and the size of the facility.
