Republican John Faso is accusing Democrat Eliot Spitzer of flip-flopping on gaming by out-of-state tribes.
Faso says Spitzer has accepted contributions and private plane rides from a lobbyist for the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin. The tribe wants to open a casino in New York.
At a debate, Spitzer said out-of-state tribes "won't be here under my administration." But his campaign says the Oneida Nation, the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohicans in Wisconsin and the Seneca-Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma don't count because they have ancestral ties to New York.
All the tribes are part of land claims and have sought to open casinos in New York.
