Pastors rail against Mississippi Choctaw casino

$stalker A group of pastors continues to criticize the off-reservation casino sought by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.

Jackson County United for Families was formed in response to the tribe's proposal to build a $375 million resort in Ocean Springs. The site is more than 200 miles from the Choctaw reservation.

The pastors say the casino will harm families. They are meeting this Thursday to develop strategies to defeat the project.

The tribe owns 100 acres off a major interstate. Sixty acres are already in trust but for non-gaming purposes.
