Seminole casino expansion raises concerns
Wednesday, January 24, 2007

Florida

Local officials are worried about the possible expansion of the Seminole Tribe's casino in Coconut Creek.

The tribe hasn't made final decisions about expanding the Seminole Coconut Creek Casino. But the tribe has asked for an additional 44 acres around the casino to be placed in trust.

That has local officials concerned about increased traffic, the need for emergency services, potential road improvements and other costs. They say a bigger facility could be too popular for the area to handle.
