Pequot Tribe not working on Atlantic City casino

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut has no plans to open a casino in Atlantic City, a spokesperson said.

The tribe has a partnership with MGM Mirage. The Press of Atlantic City reported on Wednesday that the tribe is considering a casino on land owned by MGM.

But spokesperson Bruce MacDonald said that's not the case. A draft agreement had suggested the Atlantic City casino as one of the projects for the partnership but it wasn't include in the final agreement, MacDonald said.
