The state of Washington is close to finalizing a new gaming compact with 27 tribes.
The proposed deal would allow the tribes to add more Class III machines to their facilities. The cap, currently at about 18,225 machines, would rise to 27,300 machines.
The agreement follows one the state signed with the Spokane Tribe. All 27 tribes will be allowed 975 machines, though the Spokane compact allows up to 4,700 machines at up to five casinos, or about 900 per facility.
