Little Traverse Bay Bands to open casino June 20
Wednesday, May 9, 2007

The Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians of Michigan will debut a new casino on June 20.

The Odawa Casino Resort in Petoskey features two floors of gaming and entertainment. It includes 1,500 slot machines, 30 table games and six poker tables, several dining options and an events center.

"It’s much more in line with a first class resort hotel than a casino. It’s along the lines of the Bellagio," Barry Milligan, the manager of the tribe's Victories Casino, told The Petoskey News Review.

The casino will employ nearly 1,000 people, with 500 new jobs created.
