Mohegan Tribe sees big success in Pennsylvania

The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut is doing better than expected with its slot machine facility in Pennsylvania.

According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, gamblers have spent nearly $1 billion since the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs opened in November. The average amount put into the slot machines every day has increased steadily over the past few months.

The tribe has already made plans to expand the facility. The new 300,000-square-foot casino will cost $180 million.

The tribe is also bringing in new games. Players can now gamble at "virtual" blackjack tables.
