The town of Middleborough is negotiating a casino agreement with the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe.
The tribe offered $7 million a year and $150 million up front for infrastructure improvements. The town is responding with a request for at least $250 million up front and 1 percent to 2 percent of slot machine revenues.
The tribe owns 125 acres in the town and has options for 200 adjacent acres. Another 200-acre site is being looked at.
