Agua Caliente Band reaches deal over casino hotel

The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians plans to sign an agreement with the city of Rancho Mirage over the addition of a $205 million at the Agua Caliente Casino.

Details of the agreement aren't being released until the signing on Thursday. But both parties say it represents a significant step in tribal-city relations, which soured when the city demanded the tribe pay millions for the casino expansion.

The tribe had previously said it would make payments to the city and collect certain city taxes.
