Gila River Indian Community to expand casino

The Gila River Indian Community in Arizona plans to relocate and expand its smallest casino.

The Lone Butte Casino will double in size to hold up to 750 slot machines, a 750-seat bingo hall, two restaurants and a food court. The $60 million facility is expected to open in fall 2008.

The tribe is also planning to relocate and expand its much larger Wild Horse Pass Casino. The facility will be closer to a major interstate and will feature a new hotel and a 2,300-seat entertainment hall.

Last year, the tribe added 11,000-square-feet to its Vee Quiva Casino.
