Michigan tribe secures $5M for casino design

The Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi Indians have secured $5 million for the design and development of a casino in Michigan.

IGT, a leading gaming manufacturer, provided the money. It will be used to design the $150 million, 136,000-square-foot FireKeepers Casino.

The casino still faces a legal challenge. Citizens Exposing Truth About Casinos (CETAC) is questioning the environmental assessment for the project.
