Dry Creek Rancheria denies off-reservation casino

The Dry Creek Rancheria of California says it has no plans to develop an off-reservation casino.

The tribe submitted a land-into-trust application for 277 acres. But since the land is not part of a reservation, the Interior Department sent a letter to the tribe to warn of potential rule changes and other developments that could prevent the acquisition of the property

The tribe says it will use the land for agricultural purposes. The tribe already operates a casino on its rancheria.
