BIA set to release Enterprise Rancheria casino plan

The Bureau of Indian Affairs is set to release a draft environmental impact statement for the Enterprise Rancheria's proposed casino in Yuba County, California.

A BIA official in Sacramento said the document has been sent to Washington, D.C., for final review. “It’s on their desk,” Patrick O’Mallen told The Appeal-Democrat.

The Estom Yumeka Maidu Tribe wants to build a $150 million casino on 40 acres in the county. The project would feature a 170-room hotel, retail shops, restaurants and other amenities.

The tribe and the county have reached an agreement provide the county $70 million for the first 15 years and $5 million a year after.
