Florida continues negotiations with Seminole Tribe

Florida Gov. Charlie Crist (R) continues to negotiate a Class III gaming compact with the Seminole Tribe.

Crist was given a 60-day deadline on June 22 to reach a deal. But the Bureau of Indian Affairs says it is satisfied that talks are proceeding.

"It's very different now under the administration of Gov. Crist," George Skibine, the director of the BIA's Office of Indian Gaming Management, told The St. Petersburg Times.

The tribe wants to offer slot machines but table games are reportedly on the table. Both sides are discussing revenue sharing, a tribal attorney said.
