Harrah's faces $2.8B judgment in Mohawk court

The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe of New York is seeking to collect a $2.8 billion judgment against the world's largest gaming company.

The tribe's court ordered Park Place Entertainment to pay $1.8 billion for interfering with a proposed off-reservation casino in the Catskills. After lawyers for the firm failed to show up, the court affirmed the judgment and added $1 billion in interest.

The tribe is now in federal court to enforce the judgment. The tribe is going after Harrah's Entertainment, which acquired Park Place.
