NIGC's Hogen meets with Seminole Tribe

National Indian Gaming Commission Chairman Phil Hogen met with leaders of the Seminole Tribe of Florida on Thursday.

The NIGC is investigating the tribe's use of gaming revenues. Concerns were raised four years ago and Hogen said some progress has been made though he expressed some "disappointment" in certain areas.

Hogen also said additional issues were raised by The South Florida Sun-Sentinel. The paper published a series that looked into spending by some tribal leaders.

Hogen said he wants to resolve the issues without enforcing orders or imposing fines on the tribe.
