Four California tribes won resounding support for their gaming compacts on Tuesday.

While ballots are still being counted, results from the Secretary of State show that at least 55 percent of voters backed compacts for the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, the Morongo Band of Mission Indians, the Pechanga Band of Luiseño Indians and the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation.

In some counties, Propositions 94-97 won by nearly 2-1 margins. "I'm proud," Agua Caliente Chairman Richard Milanovich said, The Palm Springs Desert Sun reported. "We ran a clean and honest campaign."

The deals allow the tribes to install more slot machines at their casinos. The state will receive a cut of the revenues.
